Buried: Schloss-Kirche, Wit­ten­berg, Ger­ma­ny.

Luther be­gan the Pro­test­ant Re­for­ma­tion in 1517, and the Lu­ther­an de­nom­in­a­tion bears his name to this day. In ad­di­tion to be­ing a re­form­er, he was ac­tive in church mu­sic.
